Well, personally I'm glad you took the time to write this - it's very useful. The link to intrinsic motivation is an interesting one, and I think you may well be right about that.

Thanks, Tim. I'm glad I wrote it too.

I'd written a longer post about intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation several years ago (before Pink wrote his book), in which I wove together insights from several other authors. I imagine that post was also written during a period of structured procrastination, but I'm glad I wrote that one (and had the opportunity to read it again, now, based on your comment) too.
